We are looking for a strong Technical Solutions Consultant to work with our customers to enable them to realize their full potential through accelerated adoption and productive use of EventStoreDB and event-based solutions. You will need to have experience in Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing and event driven architectures as well as a passion for sharing that experience with engineers at all levels, from junior developers to solution architects.

Responsibilities

You will work with customers to help scope and define projects ranging from exploratory Proof of Concepts to production-ready systems, delivering expert guidance that drives tangible benefits and enhances the delivery of their projects.

You will achieve this through a mix of on-site and remote engagements as well as developing guidance, such as example solutions to problems, typical solution architectures and best practices. You may also need to deliver product/company presentations to customers and contribute to our growing online resource pool for learning about Event Store and Event Sourcing.

When not consulting, you will be advocating for our product and helping to improve the experience for all our users through documentation, blogging and building tooling where necessary.

As you will be getting the first-hand experience of how customers are using the product, you will also be providing feedback into the product and engineering teams to help improve our products.

Qualifications

A skilled communicator, you will be comfortable connecting with people at all levels within an organization from frontline technical staff through to line management and the CIO. This ability, plus your background of technically focused roles, will position you for success with us.

Also, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in at least two of the following programming languages
  • C#/Java
  • Go/Rust
  • Javascript (Node.js)/PHP/Python/Ruby
• Experience in building Event Sourced systems
• Experience with Domain Driven Design
• Experience in delivering distributed systems
• Familiarity with a variety of databases (RDBMS/NoSQL)
• At least five years of relevant experience

The location for this role is remote or at one of our Event Store offices in The Hague, Netherlands or Bath, U.K. It is essential to have significant overlap with European Central time zone. There will be some travel, around 25%, required for this role.
